Kristin's Story
The following story recounts the experience of one patient who has received an AMPLATZER® Occluder Device. As you read it, please bear in mind that results may vary; not every response is the same.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the doctors and nurses at pediatric cardiology at NEMC for all they have done for our family. We are greatly honored to have our daughter to be the first in this country to undergo closure of two holes in her heart using the newly approved AMPLATZER septal occluder device.
She is doing remarkably well, we can only hope that by observing Kristin's positive result, this procedure can be beneficial to the continuing of this device sparing many people from open heart surgery. We feel blessed to have been offered this procedure and having Dr. Hijazi as Kristin's cardiologist.
