SimSuite Training Program
AGA Medical Corporation is pleased to introduce a new streamlined certification training program for the AMPLATZER® Septal Occluder.
- Program provides hands-on simulation training for no-risk, multi-case familiarization with the Amplatzer Septal Occluder and closure procedure.
- Medical simulation training will be followed by a minimum of one physician-proctored live case.
- Didactic and product training occurs in a small group setting fostering discussion and additional learning opportunities.
SimSuite Training - Phase I
- ASD didactics and product training.
- Sizing Balloon sizing techniques.
- Echocardiographic and fluoroscopic imaging techniques.
- One-on-one hands-on SimSuite® training.
- Proctor presentation with open discussion.
Physician Proctored Live Case - Phase II
- An AGA approved physician proctor is required to be present at the proctoree's institution for the initial proctored live case.
- Additional live case proctoring will be available if needed.
- Upon completion of the training requirements and proctoring physician approval, the proctoree will be certified by AGA Medical Corporation to pursue an active AMPLATZER Septal Occluder closure program.
